We collaborate with partners at the regional, provincial, and national level to offer the best possible support to our communities.
Meet Our Partners

The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)
The FNHA is responsible for planning, management, service delivery, and funding of health programs for First Nations peoples.

The First Nations Health Council (FNHC)
The FNHC provides political leadership for implementation of Tripartite commitments and supports health priorities for BC First Nations.

The First Nations Health Directors Association (FNHDA)
Composed of health directors and managers working in First Nations communities, the FNHDA supports education, knowledge transfer, professional development and best practices for health directors and managers. They act as a technical advisory body to the FNHC and the FNHA on research, policy, program planning and design, and the implementation of health plans.

Q’wemtsin Health Society
Q’wemtsin Health Society is an assembly of Health Care Professionals, located in Kamloops, providing holistic health services to Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, Skeetchestn and Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band.

The Tripartite Committee on First Nations Health (TCFNH)
TCFNH is the forum for coordinating and aligning programming and planning efforts between the FNHA, BC Health Authorities, the BC Ministry of Health, and Health Canada partners. Interior Health (IH)
Interior Health aims to improve health services and health and wellness outcomes for all Indigenous peoples in the Interior Region. They are responsible for providing high-quality, safe and effective health services to all First Nations communities, including those living on and off reserve.

Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM)
Many First Nations can apply for the UBCM Local Government Program Service grants under Community Emergency Preparedness Fund. Some examples could include Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) kits or Emergency Support Services (ESS) kits.

Indigenous Services Canada (ISC)
Emergency Management Assistance Program (EMAP) is funding to support on reserve related to emergency management areas of mitigation, preparedness, response, and/or recovery.

Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA)
PHSA Health Emergency Management BC (HEMBC) offers emergency management leadership and supports to all British Columbians in BC and work in partnership with Regional Health Authorities, i.e., Interior Health by providing, on request, psychosocial services, mobile response team (MRT) or Disaster Psychosocial Support (DPS). PHSA HEMBC has many resources and information on extreme heat or weather events etc.
